Job Description: Sabourin Kimble & Associates Ltd. has an immediate opening for an entry level Stormwater Management Designer with 1 to 2 years’ experience or relevant course curriculum. The successful candidate must have the technical and interpersonal skills to carry out a variety of water resources projects including watershed modeling, master servicing and functional servicing projects, surface hydrology, stormwater management, watercourse hydraulics, floodplain management, erosion assessment, Low Impact Development (LID) techniques and construction sedimentation control. Familiarity with the processes of local Conservation Authorities, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and the Ministry of the Environment will be an asset. A thorough working knowledge of water resources computer software is essential. The successful candidate must also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a Civil Technology/Technician Diploma. Relevant work experience in the land development industry is an asset. The candidate must have knowledge of water resources computer software such as Visual OTTHYMO, SWMHYMO, HEC-RAS, PC SWMM, and OTTSWMM. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Excel and MS Word would also be an asset.
